An Evening In The Vineyard With Masseria Altemura -13th June

Join us on a delicious journey through the wines and food of the Salento Peninsula.

Taste 6 different wines from 6pm and enjoy 3 courses along with matched pairings to accompany each dish from 8pm.

MENU

Entrée
Capocollo, brurratina e pesto di pomodorini secchi
Capocollo (A traditional Italian pork cold cut made from the dry-cured muscle running from the neck to the fourth or fifth rib of the pork shoulder or neck. It is a whole-muscle salume, dry cured, and typically sliced very thin)
with burratina and sundried tomato pesto.

Wine
Rosamaro Spumante Brut – Negroamaro
Pleasantly intense and fruity, with notes reminiscent of renet apple, followed by hints of small red fruits

Main Course
Raviolo di cima e ricotta, crumble di salsiccia, aglio, olio e peperoncino
Ravioli filled with broccoli and ricotta cheese, sausage crumbles, garlic and dried chillies

Wine
Fiano Salento IGT
Perfect balance between intensity, freshness and minerality combined with measured body. The fruit and flowers perceived on the nose are found on the taste buds, in perfect continuity from nose to palate.

Dessert
I pasticciotti
Dolce tipico salentino, è fatto di pasta frolla cotta in forno, ripieno di crema pasticciera e spennellato di tuorlo d’uovo sulla parte superiore.
A pasticciotto is a type of filled Italian pastry, typical of Apulia, they are traditionally filled egg custard.

Altemura Primitivo di Manduria DOC
the wine opens with intense aromas of plums, small black fruit such as blueberries, followed by balsamic nuances, light herbaceous notes, and a touch of white pepper.
