An Evening In The Vineyard – Cantina Aldeno 23rd October

Join us as we continue our monthly exploration of wine and food with the superb Cantina Aldeno.

Cantina Aldeno is one of the oldest wine producer associations in the Trentino region. Located on the slopes of Monte Bondone in a place where, according to botanists, the “vitis vinifera silvestris”, the common grape, has always grown. The winery is very suited to the production of Trentodoc and is strongly rooted in working with individual wine growers and strengthened by the geo-climatic characteristics of the area. The Trentino vineyards, from which Trentodoc is created, are cultivated up to a maximum height of 800 metres above sea level.

The altitude, in particular, consistently influences the acidity of the grapes during the period between ripening and harvest.

This is reflected in our metodo classico sparkling wines, making them true spumante from the mountains.

In 2018 Cantina Aldeno have been awarded The Gold Medal from The Wine Hunter Award for Altinum Trento DOC Riserva 2011, Altinum Pas Dosé Trento DOC 2014 and Gewürztraminer Biovegan Trentino DOC 2017. Also the Trentodoc Altinum Brut Magnum 2014 has been awarded the Gold Medal from CSWWC – Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championship 2018
